Approx. 8 road miles from the yard, around 15 minutes.
Plainville is approx. 8 road miles northwest of the yard, around 15 minutes — same-day or next-day when availability allows; call early in the day for the best chance of same-day. It is a town of 9,945 at the 2020 Census, in Norfolk County.
The Fire Department's history recalls 1903, when Plainville was still part of Wrentham. Town trash pickup is a subscription program for 1-, 2- and 3-family homes; buildings of four or more units, condos and businesses use a private hauler, and the Recycling Center admits no business commercial vehicles. What comes out of Plainville properties
Roofs in 10s and 20s, garage clean-outs and flooring in 15s, remodels in 20s, estate clean-outs in 30s, construction and demolition in 30s and 40s, and a 10 or 15 for concrete, brick and dirt — heavy loads are limited to the smaller boxes. The Board of Health counts a roll-off as temporary for up to 60 days at one location, or longer under a valid building permit. MassDEP bans asphalt pavement, brick and concrete, metal, wood (from landfills), clean drywall, mattresses and textiles (since 1 November 2022), whole tires, large appliances, TV and monitor picture tubes and lead-acid batteries from disposal (310 CMR 19.017), so mixed construction loads go to a C&D handling facility that sorts them. MassDEP says even one mattress can fail a load — tell us before you load a mattress or an appliance.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Plainville
Who may haul — the rule that matters: Board of Health Code Ch. 712 (effective January 1, 2018) requires every private hauler collecting or transporting solid waste generated in Plainville to hold an annual Board permit, renewed by November 1 (§VI). It defines temporary roll-off containers as boxes for construction and demolition waste or clean-outs that stay no more than 60 days at one location or are used under a valid building permit, and haulers providing them are exempt from annual reporting and from the bundled-service rule (§VII.C). The application fee is $100 per company. We found no exclusive franchise. We're licensed and insured.
Placement and hours: no container, dumpster or roll-off may sit within 5 feet of the edge of pavement of a public way or a property line except on scheduled pickup days, public ways may never be blocked, and collection may happen only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (§VI.D). Roll-offs must be labeled with the hauler's name (§VIII.A). We book drop-offs, swaps and pickups inside those hours.
In the street: placing rubbish, lumber or other material on a public way needs a written permit from the Select Board or the official in charge of streets, with lanterns lit and barriers kept up through the night (§398-8). We found no fee.
Knocking something down: Massachusetts requires an asbestos survey by an asbestos inspector before demolition or renovation work (310 CMR 7.15(4)), and asbestos removal needs a MassDEP notice filed ten working days before work starts by the licensed abatement contractor. MassDEP's construction/demolition notice (AQ 06) does not apply to residential buildings with fewer than 20 units. Asbestos never goes in our containers — tell us if the survey finds any.

How it works
Booking a dumpster in Plainville
Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.
Step 1: Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask the location, what you are clearing — a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard, a job site — roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.
Step 2: We size it and quote it flat
You get a flat-rate quote whenever possible that covers delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard rental period and an included weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.
Step 3: Delivered where you want it
The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on a flat, stable surface rather than the lawn. Often same-day or next-day, when availability allows. You do not need to be home.
Step 4: Load it on your schedule
Keep it level with the top edge or below and keep the banned items out — paint and solvents, oils and fuel, chemicals, batteries, tires, propane tanks and gas cylinders, medical waste, asbestos, mattresses and textiles, and fridges or other large appliances. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.
Step 5: We haul it and dispose of it right
The load is covered and goes to an approved facility, with metal, concrete, asphalt, clean wood and yard waste recycled through Massachusetts facilities whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.
